B&B LAKE ISEO

On Lake Iseo not only for week-ends, but weeks of amusements, nature and culture.

LOVERE

Lovere is and interesting small town with a medieval historic centre, narrow streets, towers and a large square by the lake with restaurant, pizzerie and elegant bars.
It is relaxing to walk on the promenade as far as the tourist harbour "L'Ora", here there are sailing school, windsurfing, rowing, indoor and outdoor swimming pool.
In the evening, during the summer season there are outdoor concerts and other performances.
They deserve a visit the grand basilica of Santa Maria in Valvendra, built in 1473 and the Gallery of the Accademia Tadini (neoclassic paLace with works by Bellini, Parmigianino, Tintoretto, china, Flemish arras and a small archeological collection).

  MONTEISOLA
From the small harbour in Lovere, every day, depart boats for the evocative Montisola, (the largest lake island in Europe) with its fishing villages, drying fish and the women sitting on the doorsteps repairing the fishing nets.

On the island there are no cars and one can hire bicycles or take relaxing walks

ISOLA S.PAOLO
     ISOLA LORETO

LAKE ISEO SOUTH

For those who like walking, following an easy mountain path, from Lovere in about 30/40 minutes one can rent Santuario of San Giovanni on Monte Cala. The view is breathtaking at 180° on the lake and the surrounding valleys.

There are relaxing walks to Bossico, a balcony on Lake Iseo, also called Sebino, with lawns, beechwoods and beautiful pinewoods. Fantastic the view of the lake and the surrounding mountains.

INCISIONI RUPESTRI

if one wishes to visit the Prehistorical Stone Carving Park, (declared world patrimony by Unesco) to Capodiponte or to Pisogne and with the evocative small train of the valley one goes up the Valcamonica. On the way back we suggest a visit to some medieval "camuni" villages. One of those is Bienno now a museum and the still working mallets. In an interesting, old, but working water mill one can observe meal grinding which and can be purchased on site. In the Pieve of Santa Maria in Pisogne one can admire the frescos by Romanino, famous Renaissance artist.

PRESOLANA
  CONCA DELLA PRESOLANA

CLUSONE

For those who love the high mountain, after having visited the small town of Clusone with its anchient churches and carachteristic buildings, go up to Passo della Presolana as far as Colere, take the chair-lift to the "malga Polzone" and from here on foot go through the "stormy sea" as far as the mountain hut Albani in a spectacular position in the heart of Presolana, a fascinating local dolomitic mountain.
We suggest to return to Lovere via the "Via Mala" (road cut through the rock with sheers as high as 100 mt. on the river Dezzo).

LAKE ISEO

In the southern side of the lake there are several areas of great interest:

- Il Parco naturale delle Torbiere del Sebino, humid area of naturalistic interest

- The Franciacorta with its vineyards and cellars.

BERGAMO CITTA' ALTA

In one day one can visit some of our towns rich of history and culture:

- Bergamo, by bus or by own transport (50 mins.) From the lower side of town by funicular one can go to the lovely medieval "città alta" (high town).

- Milano, by own transport or by bus (2 hour).

VENEZIA
- Verona or Venezia, we suggest to go to Brescia by own transfort (car park in front of the train station) or by train from Pisogne.
In Brescia take the Milano-Venice train and stop in Verona the city of Romeo and Juliette, the Arena and other historical monuments or go straight to Venice (2 hours), the train station is in the heart of the city.

Have a good holiday!
